God, Religion and the Law are very important subjects in America. In fact the first sixteen of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution deal with the issue of freedom of religion: " Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...." These sixteen words are referred to as the Establishment Clause and the Free Exercise Clause, respectively.
