Maryland Car Accident "Diminished Value" Tip

Overlooked property damage in a car accident can be a costly problem.

If your vehicle has was badly damaged in in the crash, and especially if it was relatively new, it may be that even after it is repaired your vehicle will be worth less than it was before it was damaged. The rational understanding here is that, as between two similar vehicles, a knowledgeable car buyer would pay less for the vehicle that has been badly damaged and subsequently repaired than she or he would pay for the vehicle that has not been as badly damaged.

In this particular situation, you may be able to prove to the car insurance company the  " diminished value " of your vehicle as part of your property damages claim.
