Premier Maryland swimmer Michael Phelps: 18 gold medal, 22 Olympic medals --- and two (2) DUIs?
It began with an eight-hour binge of drinking and gambling in Baltimore's new casino, the Horseshoe.  Famed swimmer Michael Phelps was pulled over under suspicion of drinking and driving on a Tuesday morning in September 2014.  If convicted this will be his second DUI.
I have some words of advice for Michael:
  1. First, Michael, do not drink and drive.  When you drive, don't drink.  When you drink, don't drive.  Do not do both during the same period of time.  You are arguably one of the greatest swimmers of the 21st Century.  Get a driver.
  2. Secondly, do not speed in cards.  Speed in the pool.  Get a driver for the streets.
  3. Third, never change lanes when driving in a tunnel.  It's like the pool, Michael; you don't change lanes there either.  It's simple.
  4. In your case, never perform the field sobriety tests.  You are not required by law to perform them.
  5. You have the right to remain silent.  Exercise that right as much as possible.
  6. In your case, reconsider taking the Breathalyzer Test.  Realize, however, that there are MVA penalties for failure to take the test.
  7. Use your cellphone and call an attorney as quickly as possible for legal advice and consultation when arrested for drunk driving in Maryland.
  8. An extra tip: Do not drink when you gamble.  The drinks are free for a reason :)
