Popular Actor and Social Activist Danny Glover said in Phoenix, Arizona on Wednesday, August 24th, 2011, even though Arizona's sweeping new law targeting "illegal" immigrants has created a moral crisis for the state, a boycott of Arizona may not be an appropriate response.
Danny appeared at the Phoenix Convention Center with Mayor Phil Gordon and a local civil rights activist, the Rev. Warren H. Stewart, Sr.
Oprah Winfrey will receive an honorary Oscar award from the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences in November 2011. The Academy's "Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award" will be given to Oprah at the Academy's annual Governor's Awards program for her renowned philanthropy.
